There is much to learn about the novel coronavirus. Transmission typically occurs via respiratory droplets. Current evidence suggests that novel coronavirus may remain viable for hours to days on surfaces made from a variety of materials. Cleaning of visibly dirty surfaces followed by disinfections is the best practice measure for prevention of COVID-19 and other viral respiratory illnesses.

CYBER ATTACKS RELATED TO THE CORONAVIRUS
We would like all of our customers to be informed that the Bank of Cashton is aware of several attacks and website spoofing by foreign countries. Please be very cautious when accessing the internet and websites. Also be aware of any unexpected emails with attachments or links to websites that say they have updates on the Coronavirus. Hackers are attempting to gain access to your computer or personal information, through these fake websites and attacks.
One identified target are maps detailing the spread of the virus. Anyone searching the internet for COVID-19 information could unwittingly navigate to the malicious website. Visiting the fake website infects the user with the AZORult trojan, an information-stealing program that can take a variety of sensitive data. It’s likely being spread via infected email attachments, malicious online advertisements, and social engineering.
Double clicking on the file, to see these targeted maps, opens a window that shows various information about the spread of COVID-19. The “Map of Infections”, which is centered in the website, is similar to the one hosted by John Hopkins University. The window appears to be interactive with different tabs for various other related information and links. It is very convincing and most will not suspect the website to be harmful, even though they are. The original coronavirus map hosted by Johns Hopkins University or ArcGIS is not infected or backdoored in any way and is safe to visit.
